A Flat Earther is the sort of person we all meet from time to time.
I doubt you will find someone who genuinely believes the earth is flat but you will certainly find the same mentality.

Hundreds of years after the distance from our (almost) spherical Earth to our Moon had been calculated there were people believing the Earth was flat and that foolhardy explorers were in danger of sailing off the edge..

Instead of simply accepting such things as fact and then refusing to look at evidence that says otherwise the Flat Earthers knew they had it right.

Let me clarify - I love science. I could be described as having a 'scientific' mind. I am in no way anti-science but sometimes scientists contribute to the Flat Earth mindset.
So-called science is frequently not empirical but theoretical. All theories remain nothing more than theories until they are proved or until replaced by another theory.
Many theories are conflicting.
Many theories are mistakenly taken as being facts.
